About Meadows Padel
Meadows Padel is a new North West brand bringing padel, a brunch café and a Pilates studio together under one roof. Our first site has six courts and a mezzanine social space, and we plan to open more sites across the region.
We want to be more than somewhere to book a court. We’re building a place people come to play, eat, train and meet friends, and our hosts make that happen every day.
What you’ll do
You look after every guest from the moment they walk in. Here’s what that looks like day to day.
Welcome players and guests
Greet members and guests warmly and help them settle in
Check in court bookings and Pilates classes, and handle enquiries in person, by phone and online
Handle feedback and sort out small problems before they grow
Help new players feel at home, from rental rackets to finding a game
Run the café and bar
Make specialty coffee and serve food and drinks to a high standard
Keep the counter, kitchen and social space clean, stocked and well presented
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures on every shift
Recommend food, drinks, kit and memberships to guests
Help build the community
Support socials, leagues, tournaments and member events
Get to know the regulars and make every visit feel welcoming
Share ideas for events and offers that would bring more people in
Keep the club running smoothly
Open and close the site following our checklists
Help with stock counts, deliveries and reducing waste
Keep courts, changing rooms and public areas tidy and safe
Follow our safeguarding and health and safety policies
What you’ll bring
You don’t need to know padel yet. You do need to love looking after people.
Essential
Experience in a customer-facing hospitality, leisure or retail role
Confident making coffee and serving food and drinks, or keen to learn fast
Friendly, clear communication with guests and the team
Comfortable recommending products and upselling
A proactive attitude and an interest in building a community
Availability for evening and weekend shifts
A passion for padel or a willingness to learn the game
Desirable
Barista or bar experience
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
Experience with booking or till systems such as Playtomic
First aid certificate (or willingness to get one)
What’s in it for you
On top of your hourly pay and tips, once you pass probation you’ll get:
Training and development budget for courses such as barista training and food hygiene
Free padel, free Pilates and studio classes, and free food on shift
Club kit provided for your shifts
Food card for you to use in the café off shift
Working pattern
This is a hands-on, on-site role. Padel is busiest on evenings and weekends, so you’ll need some weekend availability.
15–25 hours a week across the site’s opening hours
A mix of morning, evening and weekend shifts, planned on a weekly rota
Shifts set in advance so you can plan around other commitments
